Summer 2016 Welcome Letter

In July 2016, Welcome Messages from Adam Cufr by Adam Cufr

Welcome to the Summer Edition of The Ultimate Guide For the Successful Steward, Fourth Dimension Financial Group’s newsletter.

What is going on? Remember last fall when China threatened to dilute its currency and the stock market threw a fit? Remember January when the stock market began the year with the worst start in recorded financial history? Remember Brexit, Britain’s bombshell vote to leave the European Union? The stock market threw a fit. Yet as I write this, the market has come back and is now back in record territory. Oh my!

Yes, the role as investor continues to require an iron stomach, a steely gaze, and relentless fixation on long-term goals. It’s not getting easier to be a market participant, not by a long shot. As a result, the process of planning one’s retirement has taken on even more importance than ever. Seeing that investments are simply a part of a well thought-out retirement and retirement income strategy, we continue to research and speak about the many facets and nuances of building a plan, following a process, and getting the big things right, so you can endure the fits and starts of a wild, almost teenager-like market and investing environment.

In that light, we bring you another edition of The Ultimate Guide For The Successful Steward, our somewhat tongue-in-cheek titled newsletter that seeks to keep you informed and in-community. A Steward has a deeply meaningful role as caretaker of assets and resources, not only for themselves, but for a larger community. That’s you – or at least it could be – if you’re willing to shoulder the responsibility.

Since we last met here in the pages of the Steward, much has transpired. Dave traveled to Scotland with his wife, Mackenzie. I’ve seen my five daughters grow and develop in ways that I couldn’t have predicted, including stunning piano performances, incredibly deep conversations, and simply growing into amazing young ladies. As a firm, we’ve added a new relationship in the realm of investment strategy. He’s a local guru that has added a tremendous new depth to that which we offer you in the way of portfolio management. There’s so much more, but we’ll have to pace ourselves.

In this issue, we look back at our Casablanca event. It was so much fun seeing and talking with all of you who were able to attend. We strive to build a community of like-minded Stewards at these events, and low-and-behold, two couples saw each other and said, “Hey, neighbor! We didn’t know you worked with Fourth Dimension!” That’s what we’re talking about. Also, I wrote a lengthy (not so brief) Briefcase Study about a huge breakthrough in Long Term Care planning. Please check it out; it’s really important that we have this conversation with you.

I’ll say it often, I am so grateful for the opportunity we have to serve you and your friends. We strive to serve you with excellence; we don’t always know what that looks like until you offer us your feedback. Therefore, please feel comfortable emailing me to let us know what you appreciate most about your relationship with Fourth Dimension and also what you think we can do to improve our service to you. None of this happens without you, and it’s all designed for you, so please let us know what YOU think.

To your success,
