Why do clothing designers place cute animals on the shirts of baby clothes? The baby can’t see it. Even if they could, they don’t even know what it is. I suppose it’s for us to enjoy, and it makes little sense. And that’s okay.
Sometimes we need to do things because they’re fun yet serve no clear, grand purpose. Whether it’s crocheting a blanket that might not see a lot of actual use but is full of shape and color, taking a photograph of a yellow flower that only you’ll enjoy, or putting a giraffe on a baby’s shirt, we should feel good about the process.
I hope you’ll do something silly and fun this weekend, like a child would. Because, why not?
All the best,
