Meet With Us In Your PJs? The Future Is Now

Florida, Idaho, Texas, California, Arizona, Alaska…these are just some of the locations where Fourth Dimension families have moved in just the past couple of years. Family, warmer climate, and job opportunities have given some of our friends reason to pick up and start a new adventure elsewhere, far from the beauty and splendor of Northwest Ohio winters. I can’t imagine why somebody would choose to live elsewhere (haha!), but that’s the crazy world in which we now live. Because we’re such advanced creatures, we no longer have to miss seeing one another’s face when it’s time for a progress review.

In response to, and anticipation of, many families moving around the country during retirement, we’re choosing to embrace a few basic bits of modern technology in order to provide as seamless an experience as possible. That’s why we’d like you to consider holding our meetings virtually, using FaceTime (for iPhone users), or Skype, whichever you prefer.

By choosing this route, you can feel as if you’re sitting at our conference table without actually leaving your home. In fact, you can stay in your jammies if you’d like and we’ll promise to not judge you for it. How cool is that?!

I’ve included a picture of what you’ll see when you connect with us virtually. As you can see, it’s a pretty great view with one glaring blonde-haired exception (we haven’t found a solution yet for that).

So, while we’re not discouraging face-to-face meetings, complete with handshakes and delicious coffee, we know that the families we serve are a very active and mobile bunch, not content with sitting still for very long. We also know that schedules are very busy, technology is rapidly improving, and yes…people are aging, making the drive into our office not as easy as it once was.

So what do you think? Is this something you’d like to try out, whether you’re on the beach in Florida or sitting in your living room in Perrysburg? We think it could be the norm in a few years, so we’re willing to stumble through this process if you are.

When we schedule our next review or meeting, let’s discuss whether you’d prefer to meet face-to-face or via FaceTime. Either way, we’re looking forward to keeping you on-track toward your goals for many years to come, whether you’re here or there.

All the best,
