Speed Dating: A Lesson In Trust

In Estate Planning, Steward Articles, The Insider by Adam Cufr

The concept is this: get a bunch of single people in a room, set a timer, and have them quickly move throughout the room to see if they can find someone they might be interested in getting to know a bit better, at a later date. This method dramatically reduces the chances of being stuck at a two-hour dinner with someone who just doesn’t fit what you’re looking for in a companion. Most people would agree that it only takes a few minutes to gauge whether there’s a connection or not, so this method has become quite popular.

Well, what I’m about to describe to you next is not a speed-dating event, but the concept has some elements in common. The vast majority of the families we serve have a need for an updated will and should consider whether a trust plan is right for them. The problem? The idea of meeting with a lawyer to discuss your death with the possibility of paying hourly fees to do so likely ranks right up there with a root canal or jury duty.

Because I believe so strongly in the process and benefits of having a properly designed and fully-implemented estate plan for each of our clients, I have been doing everything I can over the years to inspire clients to make the call and schedule a visit with an estate planning attorney. Many of our clients have. Still, many have not. As a result, we’re making it easier than ever for you to determine, once and for all, if a will or trust is right for you.

Speed Dating with Richard Chamberlain (sort of)

After meeting many estate planning attorneys over the years, it’s no secret that I prefer for our clients to work with Richard Chamberlain of Chamberlain Law Group.  He’s kind, fair, and very professional. He made the process very easy for me and my wife, Carie, to establish a living trust for ourselves. And I think he’d serve you very well too.

So, we’re offering a very low barrier, no-pressure, 30-minute opportunity for you to find out for yourself whether it’s time for an updated will or trust. In a matter of a short, no-fee, no obligation meeting with Richard in Fourth Dimension’s office, you can put to rest the question of what kind of estate plan is right for you. We’re removing the typical obstacles that keep people from doing what is best for themselves and their family. Are you ready to take a baby-step?

What To Do Next

Simply respond to this email or call Fourth Dimension’s office at (419) 931-0704 to say: “Yes, I’d like to invest 30 minutes to better understand what estate planning options would be best for me.” Pick a 30-minute time from the options below, and we’ll have a beverage and Richard ready for you when you arrive at Fourth Dimension’s office. There’s no need to bring any information with you!

Times we’ve arranged for Richard to be available for you:

·         Thursday, 10/8 from 10 until 2
·         Wednesday, 10/14 from 1 to 6
·         Saturday, 10/24 from 9 until 12

Again, let us know when you’re available and we’ll facilitate a 30-minute discovery conversation with Richard to determine your best next step toward the estate planning option that suits your needs. It’s that easy.

While speed dating may or may not be a fad, having a well-built estate plan never goes out of style. Not only can it protect your loved ones and your hard-earned assets, an estate plan can clarify your priorities and simply make life better for those you love. Not a bad investment of 30 minutes of your time, right?

Please act now.

But wait, there’s more!

Discovery Sessions

You may have heard that we’re beginning to offer something called Discovery Sessions. What is a Discovery Session? Well, I’m glad you asked. It is a free 60-minute experience designed to help people learn the tools, strategies, and methods necessary for building a detailed blueprint to allow them to balance both financial and lifestyle goals alike.

Designed for people new to Fourth Dimension, attending one of these no-obligation sessions gives them the opportunity to learn, for themselves, what they want their retirement to look like and the options to consider when designing their plan. It’s a really thought-provoking process and we would love it if you were to introduce the session to friends who may be considering their retirement options.
